A new-to-Nashville real estate developer this month formally christened its debut project, restoring an 88-year-old building to its original use: a hotel.
HRI Properties, of New Orleans, has opened a 191-room hotel in the 12-story building at 117 Seventh Ave. N. The Holston House, named for the river in East Tennessee, means that a hotel is once again operating from the red-brick building (most recently, the building had contained apartments targeted for lower-income renters, before being purchased by prior owner Covenant Capital Group).
The independently owned Holston House hotel is affiliated with Hyatt Hotels Corp. (NYSE: H).
